Catherine is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who works with teens (16+) and adults of all genders navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic pain, and relationship or family challenges. She has experience supporting clients through life transitions across the lifespan, including young adulthood transitions, midlife changes, aging-related concerns, divorce, parenting and co-parenting stress, and periods of emotional overwhelm that can feel difficult to manage alone.
Catherine approaches therapy through an attachment-focused, relational, and mind–body lens, recognizing that past experiences influence both emotional patterns and nervous system responses to stress. She believes therapy can provide meaningful insight and practical tools to help clients feel more grounded, regulated, and able to move forward.
Her style is conversational, direct, and warm. Catherine strives to create a space that feels supportive, collaborative, and genuine rather than overly clinical or distant, where clients can speak openly and feel understood without pressure or judgment. She works alongside clients to help organize thoughts, make sense of emotional experiences, and better understand patterns contributing to anxiety, depression, or stress. Together, they build practical strategies to navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and increase emotional stability. She also creates space for clients to bring the full range of their experiences — including parts that feel heavy, complicated, or difficult to talk about — without fear of judgment. When appropriate, she incorporates humor and lightness, recognizing that moments of laughter can be an important part of healing.
Catherine is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), evidence-based approaches that help process painful experiences, reduce emotional triggers, and support nervous system regulation. She integrates mindfulness and somatic awareness to help clients understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and physical responses, and has experience supporting individuals living with chronic pain or health-related stress.
Catherine believes individuals already carry many of the strengths and internal resources they need. Her role is not to “fix” clients, but to serve as a supportive guide — offering perspective, tools, and encouragement as they move toward meaningful change. Therapy can be a place where burdens feel lighter — where clients do not have to carry difficult experiences alone.
She believes therapy can be beneficial during many different seasons of life and is committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel understood and supported.
Catherine is committed to providing a respectful, inclusive, and affirming space for individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
